Bright Events has entered into a partnership to live-stream the 2018 Wings over Illawarra (WOI) air show.

Two Wollongong companies, PipeWolf Media and Fusion Broadband, will broadcast the show across several media platforms, which Bright Events says is intended to take WOI to people who can't make it to Illawarra Regional Airport and provide additional exposure for sponsors.

“This arrangement continues Wings over Illawarra’s proud tradition of supporting local people and businesses," said Event Administrator Kerry Bright. "Being able to live stream our flying programme is an important aspect of our ongoing marketing strategy, and this new partnership allows for a wider reach, not just in Australia, but around the world.”

PipeWolf Media will provide vision switching, production and platform management, whilst Fusion Broadband will provide the data stream. Vision will be available on Facebook, You Tube and the Wings over Illawarra website.

In other WOI news, Macquarie Radio's Tony Moclair has joined the show commentary team. Moclair is a former Triple M Melbourne breakfast show host and aviation writer. Moclair will line-up alongside veteran commentator Peter Anderson, with Plane Crazy Downunder's Grant McHerron adopting the role of a roving interviewer.

Wings over Illawarra is on at Illawarra Regional Airport 5-6 May 2018.
