There's been plenty of talk lately about stalls and how to avoid them becoming spins; lots of emphasis on stall recovery techniques. But what happens if you stop that wing drop and decide not to recover from the stall? What if you keep the stick right back? One option is the falling leaf stall. With the aircraft stalled and the stick right back, this instructor and student demonstrate the falling leaf stall, using the pedals to rock the wings gently as the aircraft heads earthward. Try this next time you're up with an instructor; it will give you a great insight into the rudder work. Just make sure you have plenty of height first.
