Aussie Red Bull Air Race ace Matt Hall has announced a raft of new aerobatic demonstrations he’ll be performing at events throughout the country for the remainder of 2011.

Over the next five months a very busy Hall will thrill crowds with his dynamic aerobatic display at events in up to six states.

Hall’s remaining 2011 performance schedule kicks off this weekend with a headlining appearance at Bundaberg’s 2011 Wide Bay Australia International Airshow (WBAIAS) in Queensland. He’ll follow up that star turn with the following appearances:

- September 3-4: Ingham Wings and Wheels Airshow (Qld)
- September 7: Regional Aviation Association of Australia (Sunshine Coast, Qld)
- October 7-9: Bathurst V8 Supercar championships (NSW)
- November 4-6: Barossa Valley Airshow (SA)
- November 11-13: Symmons Plains V8 Supercar championships (Tas)
- November 18-20: Sandown V8 Supercar championships (Vic)
- November 26: Look In Your Backyard Gala Dinner (NSW)
- December 3-4: Show us ya Wheels (Vic)
- December 31: Sydney Harbour NYE Celebrations (NSW)

As well as all of these dates, the former RAAF Wing Commander is also waiting on confirmation on potentially performing at the Langley Park Fly-In in Perth, which would see him return to the scene of his greatest Red Bull Air Race performance to date.

An excited Hall said he was thrilled with the way his schedule had panned out over the second half of 2011, allowing him to cross the country and perform at so many different venues for so many different crowds.

“It is certainly going to be a busy last few months of the year but it is something I am really looking forward to,” Hall said from Cessnock base. “I had the privilege of flying at the Sandown V8 Supercar race last year and now to be able to display at that event along with Symmons Plains and such an iconic race as Bathurst is just awesome.

“To end the year with New Year’s Eve over Sydney Harbour will top off a great 12 months.”

Hall’s newly announcement schedule comes only a week after he launched a new joy flight arm of his growing aviation business. Now a household name thanks to his success in the Red Bull Air Race, Hall will use the joy flight business to give punters the chance to fly with him in his newly purchased Extra 300L – the most advanced two-seat aerobatic aircraft in Australia.

With packages to cater for varying levels of thrill seeker and budget, the joy flights will initially operate from Cessnock in NSW’s Hunter Valley, but Hall plans to take the “show on the road” at various stages over the next 12 months.

“I love taking people flying and offering joy flights is something that was a natural progression for the Matt Hall Racing business,” Hall said. “I am pretty busy with air shows and flying displays at other events these days, but the joy flights will be something I look forward to because there is nothing like seeing the excitement people get from flight.”
