Hawker Beechcraft has reached a milestone with the rollout of the 2000th Beechcraft King Air C90 from the final assembly facility in Wichita.
The King Air C90 Series aircraft is defined by all aircraft with LJ serial numbers, including the 90, A90, B90 and all C90 models. The milestone aircraft, a King Air C90GTx, represents the latest advancement of the C90 line-up and is scheduled for customer delivery by year’s end.
Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) has enjoyed much success with its King Air 90 Series since the aircraft was first introduced in 1964. The King Air C90 Series currently represents a significant portion of the entire King Air production, which totals more than 6500 aircraft.
“This exciting moment is a direct result of our ongoing strategy of driving new technology into our aircraft in alignment with our customers’ needs,” HBC executive vice president, Global Operations, William (Bill) Brown, said. “An impressive lineage of product improvement and continuous enhancement is why the King Air product line is such a success.”
Key enhancements to the King Air C90GTx include an increase in gross weight and the addition of composite winglets, which improve climb performance and further increase fuel efficiency.
The C90GTx seats up to seven passengers in its squared-oval cabin design, and includes an in-flight accessible, heated and pressurised baggage storage area along with a private aft lavatory as standard.
