CQUniversity Australia has teamed with the Australian Flight Academy (AFA) to announce the start of commercial pilot training undergraduate programs based at Bundaberg. The first intake of students in expected in 2013.

Training to CPL with MECIR (approximately 200 hours flight time) will be combined with CQUniversity's Diploma of Aviation Theory in a 52-week course. The new program is in addition to RAA training also offered by other operators in conjunction with CQUniversity's two-year Associate Degree of Aviation and three-year Bachelor of Aviation Technology programs. AFA is based at Bundaberg Regional Airport, adjacent to CQUniversity.
