2010 Williamtown Airshow

A selection of superb photos taken by resident Australian Flying flight test pilot John Absolon at the recent Williamtown Airshow.

The 2010 Williamtown Airshow took place at RAAF Base Williamtown (NSW) on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 of September.

This year’s airshow was an event to remember as it marked the last public display by the F-111 ('Pig') and the first by its replacement, the F/A-18F Super Hornet ('Rhino'). This year’s show also celebrated 25 years of the F/A-18A 'Classic' Hornet, and on the final day of the event No 3 Squadron celebrated 94 years, making it one of the oldest fighter squadrons in the world.
