RVAC Club flying competitions reinforce skills that you may not have exercised since gaining your pilot's licence.
They are a good opportunity to improve the following skills:
* Streamer Cutting = steep descending turns
* Instrumentless Circuits = complete panel failure
* Instrument Flying = self-explanatory
* Hands Off Flying = how to fly the plane if the control yoke ever jammed!
* Flour Bombing = precautionary search / low flying
* Balloon Bursting = umm... it's great fun!
You may not ever be required to use these skills, such as instrument flying, but if you're the unlucky one who ever does, it'd be nice to have the confidence that you've done it before. It's your choice: be in competitions or be incompetent!
Each entrant goes into the monthly draw for a dinner voucher. Book your slot in advance for an extra chance.
Competitors flying more than six of the nine competitions receive a $25 dinner voucher, redeemable only on Trophy Night!
