Stand out from the crowd. Don’t become just another from within the majority of CPL graduates who never get their first flying job.
Bruce Hartwig flying School graduates are trained to think and act as Pilots, first and foremost. Our school is not focused on a syllabus to meet a minimum set of regulatory standards. Such a syllabus may gain a flight licence, but it’s unlikely to get you a job.
Bruce Hartwig Flying school’s Commercial Pilot syllabus focuses upon developing the life skills, manipulative skills and (most importantly) attitudes you will need to become a competent, successful Pilot. It is our goal to set our graduates apart and our training is specifically focused towards the skills that employers are looking for in your first, second and third jobs.
At Bruce Hartwig Flying School we do not pretend to train you to be “Airline Ready”. Our training will give you the skills, confidence and direction you must have to achieve your goals in this demanding Industry. Armed with these embodied attributes, your own personal development will guide you on the successful path towards becoming an Airline Captain. Our courses are specifically designed to prepare you to meet the challenges of gaining employment in the real world of Aviation. The reality is that you will start your first job on single engine aircraft like Cessna 206 or 210, where every serious Airline Captain aspirant knows they must do the “hard yards” if they wish to gain the respect of their peers and Airline selection panels . Actual Airline training is best left to the airlines. It is required under the Australian Civil Aviation regulation 217 that every airline has its own training program. Every airline has their own requirements and this is what sets them apart from each other. At Bruce Hartwig flying School we understand the real world of aviation having operated our own Regional Airline for many years as well as our still successful Air Charter business. Hartwig graduates approach their airline interviews with the experience gained by their 1500 plus hours of real world flying.
In an Industry where for every 100 students that aspire to be a Commercial Pilot less than 10% achieve their goal of a lifetime flying career, anything less than excellence just won’t cut it. Don’t be just a part of the crowd! Position yourself to succeed. Bruce Hartwig Flying School is known as “the Career Maker” for good reason.
For those who only aspire to be Private pilots, don’t despair. Bruce Hartwig flying School will deliver the same excellence and training standards for your courses. Most Private pilots at “Hartwigs” choose to utilise the first two (2) modules of our Industry recognised seven (7) module CPL course. When things go wrong and you’re on your own, it’s good to know you were trained far above the minimums. This is never more important than when your passengers are your family!
